Local Logo Redesign - Portland, Oregon
Welcome to another installment of Local Logo Redesign, today we set our sights on a logo hidden in the urban cityscape of Portland, Oregon - Old Town Florist.
A flower shop with a few different symbols and icons for signage and on their website. Our plan is to create a set of cohesive logos that they can use throughout their business, but all evoke a sense of and Old Town Florist.
For the redesign, our approach involves coming up with a design that feels a little bit more like a flower shop, while still being very usable. Too often, we see flower shops using high quality images of floral arrangements as their logos. This makes using the logo for everything you need to use it for very tough.
We went with a hand drawn logo that feels very crafty, while still being super usable in the digital world that we live in. We’ve offset that with some classic sign painting typography to really set the scene.
Here is the updated logo, complete with its new brand colors and a few variations to use in different applications. This update would allow the Old Town Florist to embrace their identity while not needing to change the logo every time they needed to use it. Adaptability is what it’s all about!
In the ongoing saga of Local Logo Redesign, Old Town Florist in Portland, Oregon joins our ranks of businesses getting a conceptual visual facelift. Stay tuned for more, and if you're in the market for a standout brand identity and logo, drop us a line. Let's bloom something uniquely yours.
