The Project

Apartment developers and real estate teams face a common challenge: how to differentiate their communities in competitive markets while appealing to the right audience. Timber Ridge Apartments - a proposed residential development in Bend, Oregon - needed a brand vision that would speak to young professionals, remote workers, and families looking for modern, eco-conscious living with direct access to nature. The project required a strategic foundation and schematic design work to guide future marketing, leasing, and environmental branding efforts.

Our Approach

The work began with positioning - framing Timber Ridge as modern yet rooted in nature, adventurous yet comfortable. From there, we developed a schematic identity system:

  • Visual Identity – a bold, organic logo inspired by Oregon’s landscapes.
  • Marketing Framework – schematic collateral including brochures, digital assets, and a landing page outline to demonstrate how the brand could come to life.
  • Environmental Branding – conceptual wayfinding and signage to show how the community could reinforce its identity on-site.

This work was about providing a strategic brand foundation - the kind of schematic branding that allows developers to test positioning, visualize market appeal, and prepare for future rollouts.

The Outcome

The Timber Ridge concept illustrates how branding for apartment buildings can go beyond logos and signage - it’s about creating a cohesive system that ties together identity, marketing, and the resident experience. Even at the schematic stage, the work provided a roadmap for how a multifamily community could align with sustainability, modern design, and lifestyle aspirations.

For developers, it demonstrates how brand strategy for apartments can guide not just marketing, but also design decisions that shape how a community is perceived before it’s ever built.
