Welcome to another episode of Local Logo Redesign, where we roll up our sleeves and give local business logos a makeover. Today, we’re checking out Mike’s Downtown Garage in San Antonio, Texas.
Mike’s Downtown Garage is a trusted auto repair shop that has a loyal following. We wanted to create an identity that embraced that loyal following and celebrated it.
We picked a typeface that felt like it belonged to the garage and had some sense of the old world. We’ve updated colors and created a few variations for use in a lot of different applications.
The new mark embraces elements of the original, while making it a little bit more distinct and personal.
Here’s the updated logo. We’ve thrown it on a few different mock-ups to show how it could be used in the real world.
