Atlas Mediterranean

The Project

Atlas Mediterranean was created to bring a fresh fast-casual Mediterranean dining experience to the University of Oregon area in Eugene, Oregon.

Launching a new restaurant concept requires more than great food. In highly competitive dining markets, customers often form impressions long before they place an order. The identity, environment, signage, and atmosphere all contribute to how the concept is understood and remembered.

The ownership team needed a brand that would feel distinct, welcoming, and aligned with the experience they were creating inside the restaurant.

The goal was to establish a visual identity that could support the concept from launch while creating consistency across every customer touchpoint.

Our Approach

Working alongside interior designer Mike Hopper, we developed the brand identity in parallel with the restaurant environment.

This collaborative approach allowed branding and interior design decisions to inform one another throughout the process. Rather than treating the identity as a separate marketing layer applied after the fact, the brand became an integrated part of the overall experience.

The visual system was designed to reflect the restaurant's Mediterranean influence while remaining approachable and contemporary for a broad audience. Every element was evaluated through the lens of how customers would experience the space, from exterior signage and menus to interior applications and supporting marketing materials.

As a brand and web design studio focused on brand strategy and brand identity, we believe the strongest hospitality brands create consistency between what customers see, what they experience, and how they remember the business afterward.

The Outcome

The resulting identity established a cohesive foundation for Atlas Mediterranean and helped bring the restaurant concept to life.

By aligning the visual identity with the interior environment, the brand creates a more unified and memorable customer experience. The system supports the restaurant across physical and digital touchpoints while reinforcing the atmosphere and personality that make the concept unique.

This project demonstrates how restaurant branding extends beyond visual design alone. When branding and environmental design work together, they create experiences that feel more intentional, recognizable, and enduring.
